MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY COURSE

All Neonatal and Developmental Medicine staff are encouraged to attend our medical terminology workshop.This multi-session course is offered once a year starting in October. The course is led by Mary Nelson. The workshop utilizes the excellent course material put together by Davi-Ellen Chabner in the workbook Medical Terminology: A Short Course 5th Edition published by Saunders, 2008.

Session 1 - Read Ch. 1 pages 2-14 (through combining forms). Complete exercises A-C on pages 20-21 and combining forms on page 30. Practice pronunciation on pages 33-34.

Session 2 - Read Ch. 1 pages 14-19. Complete exercises D-L pages 21-27 and all exercises on pages 38-41. Practice pronunciation on pages 35-36.

Session 3 - Read Ch. 2 pages 43-59. Complete exercises A-H pages 59-65, all exercises on pages 66-67, and all exercises on pages 71-77. Pracie pronunciation on pages 68-70.
