EDUCATION
Leaders in perinatal training.
We offer a wide array of educational opportunities for trainees and healthcare professionals. Through scholarship and mentorship as well as hands-on educational experiences and outreach, we seek to improve perinatal health and quality of care for newborns and their families.
Educational Opportunities for Trainees
We train the next generation of academic neonatologists through our three-year Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program. We support postdoctoral trainees from a variety of disciplines who are engaged in perinatal research.
Our faculty also lead the Neonatal Intensive Care Subinternship for Stanford and visiting medical students. Students interested in the Subinternship should contact Dr. Christine Johnson at clcjohns@stanford.edu.
Educational Opportunities for Healthcare Professionals
Through our educational initiatives and courses, we support hospitals and communities throughout the state of California and beyond.
Register for courses in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and simulation-based training taught by our faculty and staff. Continuing education from our Mid-Coastal California Perinatal Outreach (MCCPOP) Program supports hospitals and communities throughout the state of California and beyond.
Mentors
Our faculty are available to mentor students and trainees who enter with a wide range of experience, from undergraduates to clinical and postdoctoral fellows. Mentors facilitate learning and support trainees' individualized scholarship. For a list of our faculty and their areas of interest/expertise, please visit our Faculty Profiles.
